BIOGRAPHY

With the release of their first CD, the year 2004 marks the beginning of another phase for Extol Zion.  In the seven years since the group first started, members have left while new ones bonded, their sound has expanded and matured; and to say the least, the group has faced their share of changes.  Nevertheless, one thing that stays intact is their passion to share the hope of Jesus Christ through music.   

Samuel (guitar, vocal) is responsible for the writing, which speaks honestly about life’s joys and disappointments.  The collection of English, Cantonese and Mandarin songs are known to be ironic, heartbreaking, and thought provoking.
The rest of the band includes Enoch (bass), Jenny (keyboard, guitar, vocal), and Steven (drums), who come from diverse music backgrounds to create Extol Zion's unique mix of alternative and pop sounds.  

As Jesus commanded all Christians to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…”(Matthew 28:19-20), EZ is taking up this command seriously and going beyond conventional standards to connect with the world.
